2025 Drone Summer Camp
Our 2025 camps consisted full two weeks of fun and engaging activities around the Alviso for young campers to learn to program and fly drones for various purposes, including aerial photography, mapping, FPV racing, and social impact surveys. We enrolled over ten students, and received glowing reviews about the camp content. Sunnyvale Walk & Drone Audit
Community members experience our streets together, notice what works, and point out what could be better for the City of Sunnyvale. This year’s event brought a high-tech twist: drones hovered above, capturing aerial views of the circuits to complement what participants noticed on the ground to help help inform future improvements in our city’s transportation planning.
Drone-a-thon!
This event is themed around water and drone exploration, and organized by high school students for Drone Exploration Day in collaboration with Jessup University’s San Jose office. With over 12 young participants, they learned how drone technology can go beyond hobby flying to competitive FPV tournament and social impact activities; truly make a difference in the world.
Drone Camp Fundraising
This fundraising event is introduced for newly created Emergency Response Committee to expand the drone club's community impact. Collectively we have been able to collect over $10,000 for the acquisition of advanced equipment and providing training for more members.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Farmland Survey and Seeding
This event uses drone navigation and mapping to conduct a farmland survey in San Jose, CA, and modified drone for pre-programmed seeding.
NASA Logo Seeding
This event is in collaboration with NASA to create a logo on multi-acre land with seeding.
2026 Drone Summer Camp
Looking ahead, we’ll be running more summer camps for kids to get a taste of remote controlled drone and RC planes which are becoming more integral part of our lives. We still believe all kids deserve to get an opportunity at navigating and making an impact to the world using technologies.
